Product Intended for 99-04 Mustang
Introducing our 99-04 Ford Mustang door sill clear PPF pre-cut film. This simple piece is applied directly over the high-impact area to protect it from wear caused by getting in and out of the car. Hopefully, the area is minimal, but with frequent use, it’s common to misstep and graze it. We don’t like that one bit, so we created this piece to cover the affected zone and more, so you can stop worrying and just hop in. It’s also great for passengers who might not be as cautious. All of our paint protection films are made from Xpel automotive film, which shields against potential damage and is self-healing.
Before applying any paint protection, we suggest using touch-up paint first. The common Dupli-Color works, but our favorite brand is Dr. ColorChip. Be sure to look around and see what other protection you might need, and don’t forget to check out our other Ford and Mustang decals.

Before you start
1. Clean your hands or wear gloves
2. Remove any static clothing you may be wearing, as it may leave particles on the surface or vinyl
3. Prep surface with isopropyl alcohol or any surface cleaner, nothing ammonia-based. Allow time to dry
4. If you have any ceramic, wax, or coating on your car, we recommend removing it -usually by polishing it off, machine or hand.
5. Make sure surface temperature is at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Steps
1. Pick a corner and Gently peel the transfer tape up off the backing paper, If you notice part of the decal not being picked up, lay the transfer tap back down and press firmly around the entire decal.
2. Use the marked centers on the backing paper to line up your decal
3. Carefully apply the decal to the surface starting with one side and working your way over. Use a credit card, squeegee or your hand to help smooth the decal to the surface.
4. Remove the transfer tape by peeling it away at a 45 degree angle. If you notice part of the decal not adhering to the surface, gently place the transfer tape back down and press firmly.
TIP 1: If your decal is having trouble adhering to the surface, try using a heat gun or hair dryer
TIP 2: To clean the label, only dap never wipe as the back and forth motion might pick up an edge of the decal
TIP 3: If you had trouble applying the decal and noticed several tiny bubbles across the decal. Don’t worry, just give it time for the bubbles to smooth out, after a couple days most of the bubbles should be gone.
TIP 4: If you are worried about the decal picking up, use a heat source on the vinyl for better adhesion. either hair dryer, heat gun, or the sun.
TIP 5: We recommend adding a layer of protection to any outdoor decal to increase longevity. Ceramic coating, wax etc.
Removal
Removing can be a time consuming task depending on how complex you design is, what vinyl you have, and how old your decal is. First, Start by picking at an edge with your fingernails, and very slowly peel the decal away from the part that’s stuck down. If you have a bunch of little pieces and have trouble picking up the edge, try using a wedge like a plastic razor blade. Test in a small area to make sure it wont damage your original surface. USE HEAT, like using a hair dryer, can soften the adhesion and make the vinyl less brittle. Don’t point the heat at the decal for too long; too much heat will cause it to stretch and break. If by chance you encounter glue residue, use a goo remover, or isopropyl alcohol.
